In the current situation of COVID19 it is important that we Franciscans understand rights based approach to issues that pertain to Humanity, Health, and Family reproduction. Recently, we hear about 2 worrying matters: – many children are sexually abused at their homes – reproductive health being pushed into the negative direction contrary to faith, morals and beliefs.

Covid -19 is a new disease that brought a lot of challenges to all sectors: in religious practices, in social, economic, psychological, intellectual, physical and political areas among others. Individuals and families were greatly affected. Youth being a vulnerable group in the society suffered more harm which is left unattended might be detrimental to holistic wellbeing This presentation explore some of the challenges youth experienced and noticing the results. Since we Franciscans are called to read the signs of times and address accordingly as guided by the Holy Spirit, we shall identify our role in trying to address these challenges.
